Tight Lines,
Costa Rica Phil
To date, this is the biggest roosterfish that I have caught living down here in Costa Rica. It weighed in at 85lbs. Click here to see a video from this epic fishing trip.
Inshore fishing is very popular in Costa Rica. The charter companies can do 1/2 day, 3/4 day or full day depending which species you would like to target. The inshore species include roosterfish, snapper, snook, corvina, mackerel, jacks, needlefish, grouper and more...There are many charters to choose from throughout the country, but my favorite for inshore out of Quepos, Costa Rica is Jackpot Sportfishing. I have use them personally as well as sent many clients fishing with them and they are top notch.
As amazing as the fishery is in Costa Rica, there are a ton of other fishing destinations throughout the world. This bonefish was from a trip I took to Turks and Caicos. I had the opportunity to stay at the Beaches Turks and Caicos which was amazing in and of itself, and go out with my good buddy Darin Bain for a 1/2 day of bonefishing. Check out this video...
