Find a Costa Rica Travel Agency

Moving to Costa Rica has been an amazing experience.  The places we have seen over the past four years have been nothing short of breathtaking.  Why not let somebody who lives here plan your extraordinary adventure to this beautiful country.  People often ask me, when we travel to Costa Rica where should we go?  Costa Rica’s diversity makes that a challenging question to answer.  I'll direct you to the best of what Costa Rica has to offer.  If you are looking for beaches, volcanos, wildlife, tropical rainforests and waterfalls then I know for sure that you have come to the right spot.  The beaches are spectacular and each one is unique especially for you surfers and sun worshipers.  Costa Rica has over 200 volcanoes and the most iconic is the Arenal Volcano.  Only 5 are active at present day.  There are 161 National Parks and refuges in Costa Rica and they divided into 11 regions covering over a quarter of the country’s national territory.  The National Parks in Costa Rica are so famous because the variety of animals you find here.  Do you want to see a sloth or a toucan?  Costa Rica has 2 types of sloths, the 2 toed and 3 toed and 6 types of toucans.  Is fishing your thing?  Costa Rica is one of the top fishing destinations in the world.  And last but certainly not least, the cascading waterfalls are the cherry on top no matter where you go.  Pura Vida!  That's an expression down here that means Pure Life and it truly is.

Roosterfish

If you are considering heading to the fishing capital of the world, catching a roosterfish in Costa Rica is a must.  The roosterfish patrols the Pacific waters from Baja, California down to Peru predominantly around rocky points, reefs and river mouths.  They are considered an inshore species typically being caught between 20 and 150 feet of water.  Their appearance is photo worthy with a fantastic fanned spine and black stripes along the sides.  Using live bait like lookdowns, sardines, rainbow runners, mullet and ladyfish gives you the best opportunity to catch roosterfish however they can be caught on artificial lures.

Dream Las Mareas

Dreams Las Mareas Resort is without a doubt one of my favorite Costa Rica all-inclusive resorts.  It is a vibrant beach getaway for couples, families and singles to enjoy an escape in luxury.  Located on an expansive palm-studded beach and surrounded by lush green mountains & jungles on Playa El Jobo in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica.  Guests of all ages can enjoy an action–packed vacation with watersports and land activities or relax by the swimming pools while sunbathing or laying under a thatched palapa.  Continue the fun into the evenings with live nightly entertainment, outdoor bars and lounges, and so much more.  With 8 dining experiences including five à la carte restaurants, a buffet, a grill and a café, the options are endless.

Monteverde

Monteverde, Costa Rica is a small community in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, located in the Cordillera de Tilarán mountain range.  Roughly a two and half hour drive from the Central Valley, Monteverde is one of the country's major ecotourism destinations.  In Monteverde, Costa Rica, the sun-kissed faces of beach dwelling locals are replaced by the warm smiles of farmers, artists, naturalists, and outdoor enthusiasts—particularly in the small yet pleasant town of Santa Elena.  Speaking of outdoor enthusiasts, this is a great place to go ziplining and walk across a hanging bridge through the tree tops.  At certain times of the year this is also an excellent opportunity to see a quetzal.

Playa Ballena

Costa Rica is blessed to have the longest season of Humpback Whales in the world as we get migrations from both North and South America.  The whales come from both hemispheres to have their babies and breed.  This doesn’t happen anywhere else on the planet!  The best time to see Humpback Whales is mid July through October, when our Southern Migration, coming from as far as Antarctica, are here.  This is the longest migration by a mammal known to man!  You can see newborn whales and their moms, large groups of rowdy males chasing a female, and lots of singing and showing off.  It is a whale playground!  You can also see Humpback Whales from November through April, during our Northern Migration, coming from Northwest USA and Canada.  This migration is not as plentiful, but the moms and babies tend to be super friendly.

Manuel Antonio

Costa Rica is a marvellous country that has a lot of things to offer, even if it is considered as a small country in size. Manuel Antonio is one of its jewel you absolutely need to know.  An amazing flora & fauna that you can discover visiting the National Park as well as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.  The area unique atmosphere, and many activities so everybody can find what they were looking for.  With your family, couple or friends, eco-tourists, seeking for exciting adventures, or just to relax, you came to the right place.  Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of the rain forest, beaches, and coral reefs.  These beaches are the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest, and the snorkeling is excellent, too. The forest is home for sloths, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys, white-faced monkeys and millions of colorful little crabs.  The trail that winds around Punta Catedral features some spectacular views.  Let this Costa Rica Travel Agency organize your dream vacation from start to finish.

Quepos

Quepos is a harbor town located in the province of Puntarenas in the Central Pacific Zone.  This town is named after the indigenous people of the area, the Quepos natives.  Quepos also is well known for its proximity to the most visited National Park in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio National Park.  The town of Quepos is very tourist friendly.  It's also the home to one of the most popular marinas in Costa Rica called Marina Pez Vela.  From the San Jose area, it's roughly around a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive.  The marina offers both inshore and offshore charters whether you are looking to go out for a half day or an overnight trip.  I would be happy to set up a Costa Rica Fishing Tours for you with some of my proven favorites.
